 This week was nice .
We've been teaching this guy named Ruben that we found the first week I got in this area, and he is probably my favorite person I've taught my whole mission. Every time we go there he just asks us questions for an hour. He used to be a Pastor and preached back in the day when he lived in Venezuela, so he is super knowledgeable in the Bible, thus he has been very cautious about the Book of Mormon and there being more to the scriptures. We walked in and read 1 Corinthians 2, and talked about how he had to let go and let the Spirit teach him. Then he said that he felt the Spirit super strong and his face collapsed on the table and he cried for a while. It was one of the most powerful lessons I've had. He is going to stop working on Sundays so he can go to church now, but keep him in your prayers so he can get baptized soon. A lot of people came to church this week. We were standing outside of the chapel after church started to call somebody and we saw somebody on the other side of the street that we had never meet in real life, and I felt like we needed to talk to him, so we went and invited him to sacrament meeting. Turns out he was somebody that we had invited before through phone but we never had seen him in person. We've been seeing a ton of miracles everywhere, a lot of people are close to baptism right now. Week 10

  Soooo The whole city of Santiago got downgraded to phase 1 quarantine which means we have 4 hours a week to leave the house and buy food. From what I've heard it sounds like it'll be that way for 5ish weeks, but last time they were in phase 1 it was for 5 months soooo... Anyways we are still able to teach people over the phone and have been able to find some really cool people from the area book. It's not ideal, but it's a huge blessing to even have a phone considering our mission just got smart phones within the last year. But yeah, we've just been progressing with people and Camila made it to church so when we go back to phase 2 she can be baptized!   This last month was pretty good. We have been working a lot. The 18th of  S eptember was Chile's  In dependence  D ay, which is the biggest holiday of the year. We ate a lot of food that week. We also went to the temple last week, and this weekend was  G eneral  C onference! General  Co nference is when a prophet of God preaches to the world. His name is Russel l M  Nelson.   These past weeks were pretty good.  I got transferred to a new area a couple weeks ago. It's pretty much in downtown Santiago... our area has all the Chilean government buildings and tourism stuff. I've seen a couple Americans here. The majority of people here are immigrants from Venezuela, Haiti, or Peru. The work is a lot different because our area is so small and we can't talk to people in the street a whole lot because they don't live in our area. But it's really cool. I'm also training a new missionary named Elder Knudsen from Utah who just got here.
