Serving the Lord in Chile

  These past weeks were pretty good.  I got transferred to a new area a couple weeks ago. It's pretty much in downtown Santiago... our area has all the Chilean government buildings and tourism stuff. I've seen a couple Americans here. The majority of people here are immigrants from Venezuela, Haiti, or Peru. The work is a lot different because our area is so small and we can't talk to people in the street a whole lot because they don't live in our area. But it's really cool. I'm also training a new missionary named Elder Knudsen from Utah who just got here.   This last month was pretty good. We have been working a lot. The 18th of  S eptember was Chile's  In dependence  D ay, which is the biggest holiday of the year. We ate a lot of food that week. We also went to the temple last week, and this weekend was  G eneral  C onference! General  Co nference is when a prophet of God preaches to the world. His name is Russel l M  Nelson. I t  was super good .  A l ot  of the people we  are  teaching watched it and said they felt the Holy  Spi rit really strongly.                   Noche de hogar with Jonathon and the family of bishop                                                          ...
