Camilas baptism!

Image
Buenas mahomes  We baptized Camila this week! She was super excited to get baptized, and her testimony was super strong she def didn't sound like an 8 year old. Because only 5 people could go her dad came, and at the end he said he wanted to get baptized so that was awesome.  I don't have a lot of time today but lessons and stuff with everyone else are going pretty well too! We were having problems with the font President and Hna Bently came to the Baptism!

Whattup mahomes, it was a good week About two weeks ago we were calling random contacts on our phone and nobody was picking up, BUT at exactly 9:29 (the last minute of the day) I scrolled and picked a random contact out of the 878 contacts the mission phone has and a man named Rafael picked up. He was taught one lesson by the missionaries right before covid but I guess he got lost in the sauce then, because he wasn't in any of our record books. Anyways he is super cool and wants to get baptized now. It's awesome seeing the Lord just giving him to us at the right time. Also we've been teaching a Haitian named Mois for over a month now, mans is an absolute dawg. He taught us how to pray in creole last week, so when we asked him to pray this week he asked if he could pray in creole, so we said yeah. Then he started praying in English, and the spirit was super strong. It was super cool. Apparently he learned English in Haiti like 10 years ago but he never told us that until n...

Week 12

Good news: -we can do baptisms with a government pass, but there can only be 5 people there -I had my first exchange this week, my companion got reassigned to Minnesota during covid last year(and served in the Lakeville stake) and another elder at his apartment is from Minnetonka so that was pretty cool -got a new nephew -my companion gave and I gave a talk about our favorite conference talks last week in our mission devotional, I talked about Uchtdorf's talk and how repentance makes us better, and how we can become "new creatures" like alma the younger Bad news: -we lost our only pigskin an elder left here before going home for covid trying to hit a soccer ball out of a tree, but it got stuck in the branches.   So it looks like were going to be in quarantine for a hot minute and they will probably shut the borders down maybe idk well see. But this week was still great, Finding people isn't the easiest thing ever, but were making it work. It's awesome seeing the Lords hand in the work. We are still able to teach people online which is awesome! Alicia, who is getting baptized after quarantine is super awesome. Her husband died a couple years ago, so she's been living with another guy for the last while. She told us she is getting married this week so she can get baptized! It's super cool to see her faith and to see all the sacrifices she's made. We have had some pretty good lessons with other people this week too. General conference was great, our connection is horrible so we got permission to stay at some other elders apartment for the weekend to watch conference. We are really lucky to live in a time with a living prophet, the spirit he has is so strong.  Oh yeah there w...
