 Whattup, the last couple weeks have been pretty wild.

We had transfers, so Elder Avery left and now it's just me and Elder Arancibia. 

My second time going to church in person here, I had to give a talk about how members can help in missionary work. As I was walking to the pulpit some old lady that we had dinner with a couple weeks ago fainted/had a stroke/ idk what happened. The Bishop told me to talk anyway. There were like 10 people fanning her with hymn books during my talk, and they came in with a wheelchair and brought her out. Kinda loco but keep her in your prayers.

Other than that, we have been working hard. We had a bible study with a woman named Claudia, we read where she was in her studies which happened to be Mark 1 (Jesus's baptism) 🙂 She wants to be baptized now!
We've been working with Melissa and her parents more, hopefully her parents will let her be baptized soon.
We had a very very very long lesson with Jorge about baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost so hopefully he'll open to that.
Also I finally got my first dose of the vaccine yesterday!

Week 10

  Soooo The whole city of Santiago got downgraded to phase 1 quarantine which means we have 4 hours a week to leave the house and buy food. From what I've heard it sounds like it'll be that way for 5ish weeks, but last time they were in phase 1 it was for 5 months soooo... Anyways we are still able to teach people over the phone and have been able to find some really cool people from the area book. It's not ideal, but it's a huge blessing to even have a phone considering our mission just got smart phones within the last year. But yeah, we've just been progressing with people and Camila made it to church so when we go back to phase 2 she can be baptized!   This last month was pretty good. We have been working a lot. The 18th of  S eptember was Chile's  In dependence  D ay, which is the biggest holiday of the year. We ate a lot of food that week. We also went to the temple last week, and this weekend was  G eneral  C onference! General  Co nference is when a prophet of God preaches to the world. His name is Russel l M  Nelson.   These past weeks were pretty good.  I got transferred to a new area a couple weeks ago. It's pretty much in downtown Santiago... our area has all the Chilean government buildings and tourism stuff. I've seen a couple Americans here. The majority of people here are immigrants from Venezuela, Haiti, or Peru. The work is a lot different because our area is so small and we can't talk to people in the street a whole lot because they don't live in our area. But it's really cool. I'm also training a new missionary named Elder Knudsen from Utah who just got here.
