Week 9
Business is BOOMIN
I'm still a vegetable whenever somebody tries talking to me in Spanish, but it is definitely improving
Yesterday we taught an old woman named Alycia. She has read the Book of Mormon a little bit, but it was our first lesson with her. Anyways she was super receptive and wants to get baptized so that was super hype.
We are also teaching Camila who is 8 years old. She's by far my favorite person to teach because I have the Spanish vocab of a third grader, so I can understand most of what's going on. She wants to get baptized too, and all she needs is to go to church one more time. It's kind of hard though because her parents aren't supportive at all. Though she does live with her grandma who is a member so we will see what happens.
Both Camilas grandmother and Alycia are super sweet women, and I complimented them on their lush garden AND collection of Russian nesting dolls when I was heading out the door.
We have another lesson with Gerardo tonight. We were talking about baptism last time so hopefully he's down to clown.
Sounds like we are probably going to go back into quarantine soon. Most of Santiago went into quarantine last week so that would suck, but we'll see what happens.
